As you walk into the Sobremesa Lounge you can almost smell the sweet, slightly musky aroma of the Mexican agave fields wafting through the windows and lingering on the fringe silk curtains. Pull a striped brass stool up to the antique wooden bar, pour yourself tequila blanco from a ceramic decanter made by artisans in Valle de Bravo, and transport yourself to a bygone era of Mexico’s rich cultural landscape.

Burkle Creative invites you to sip and savor the private tasting room of Señor Lick. Inspired by the art of the after dinner drink, the Sobremesa Lounge pays tribute to the history of agave and the jimadores of Jalisco.

The Sobremesa Lounge is where Señor Lick likes to unwind and revel in the day’s happenings with friends while sipping Lalo Tequila. Burkle Creative has infused an understated elegance throughout the space with a vintage brass bar cabinet inset to the walls papered with a concrete facade. This cozy and intimate setting is grounded by antique touches everywhere from the vintage French renaissance library table that has been converted into a full service bar complete with storage and sink, as well as a cast bronze relief of Señor Lick himself.

 Look up and drink in the ornamental brass agave leaves reaching down from the ceiling inviting you to pay homage to the celebrated culture of Mexico. Take a seat on the inviting bespoke striped sectional and feel as though you have received passage to an invitation-only space. Admire the attention to detail from the black sisal rope chandelier to the bold touches of copper through the room harkening back to the tequila barrels found in the distillation rooms of the agave farms.
